I like finger picking my guitar, but my fingernails break and I get terrible blisters. I don’t like most of the finger picks on the market so I decided to create these. They are a bit awkward at first, but a lot of fun and much less pain than finger picking without!

Tools that you will need:

You will need a ruler, an emery board, safety glasses and an X-Acto knife.
Here are the steps to make the finger picks!
Get the free .stl files and print! I used ABS filament with a print resolution of .18 mm with good results. I printed the part in a vertical position without support material.

The free downloads include small, medium, large and extra large pick sizes. They also include picks that will accommodate a 1 mm, 2 mm or 3 mm guitar pick. The sizes are as follows in diameter: small Ø .69″, medium Ø .77″, large Ø .85″ and extra large Ø .93″. Measure your fingers and print the ones that work best for you.

If your print has any burrs or aberrations, remove them with an emery board, an X-Acto knife, a file or sandpaper.

Next select the proper sized pick for the finger pick holder and slide it in with the point out. It will be a tight fit but they are designed to be that way so the pick doesn’t fall out.

Next cut the strap to length and slide the strap into the finger pick with the fuzzy part toward the slide (for finger comfort).
And that’s it! I hope they work well for you and you enjoy them!
